Leigh White was named Executive Director of the Carnegie Community Development Corporation in September 2007. Leigh has worked in civic engagement and community outreach at several local universities and non-profit organizations including Duquesne University, The Pittsburgh Foundation, The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh and Chatham College.

Leigh volunteers as the Chairperson of the Carnegie Arts and Heritage Festival, a three day event held on Main Street in September of each year.  She is also a member of the Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club, an advisory member of the Chartiers Valley Salvation Army Corps and a member of the Carnegie Area Business and Professional Women.  Leigh also serves on the board of directors of the Brashear Association, as well as the Duquesne University Service Learning Advisory Committee and on the Programming Committee of Pittsburgh Cares. She is a 2006 graduate of the CORO Center's Women in Leadership program.  In 2008, she was also named as one of Pittsburgh's 40 Under 40 by Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP.

Leigh and her husband Wes have been residents of Carnegie for five years, and live in the Cubbage Hill neighborhood with their three pugs.
